Hi! My name is Ann and I am excited you’ve found my page!
I am here to help you regain control over your digestive symptoms, fatigue and naturally support weight loss!
I am a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (R.H.N.) and I focus on gut health in my practice as I believe this is the foundation of good health! I regularly see clients who are bloated, gassy and uncomfortable, have abdominal pain or distention, are constipated or have loose stools, experience fatigue and have unwanted excess weight. Some have been diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Celiac disease, autoimmune conditions or other digestive disorders. Many of them have noticed that certain food choices impact how they feel but they are still struggling to get to the root of their issues. They may be avoiding social situations due to their discomfort and not knowing how their tummy will react to the foods they eat.
I provide one-on-one consultations and group meal planning services for clients (available virtually and in-person) who want to improve their digestive function, feel energized, achieve natural and sustained weight loss and feel in control of their symptoms, be confident in social situations and have a better quality of life to do all the fun things they want to do!
I have been where you are and this is how I know I can help you! In my mid-20s I suffered from a digestive infection while travelling which threw my whole system out of wack! I was chronically gassy, bloated and completely exhausted. The quality of my life really suffered at this time as I struggled to make it through my work day and would come home and have no energy to do anything else but sleep and watch TV. I left many doctor’s offices disappointed and discouraged without any answers or solutions. Intuitively I knew there was something greater out of balance in my body and I was determined to feel better! This is what sparked my interest in nutrition and the natural wellness world.
I was told there was “nothing wrong” and that my symptoms may be attributed to Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I was told to eat some extra fiber, relax and to just deal with it. Some doctors even suggested I try some anti-depressants to ease my symptoms. After a year or so of “trying to deal with it” I was introduced to an alternative healthcare provider and this changed my life! I learned how my food choices were impacting my digestion, energy levels, weight and even my immune system! I remember being shocked that I did not get a single cold for a few years after I started eating the right foods for my body and taking key supplements, I lost weight without trying and I felt confident in my food choices when I was in social situations. I was later diagnosed with a thyroid autoimmune condition called Hashimoto’s which explained many of my symptoms (yes I am a thyroid and Hashimoto’s expert too and can help you with that!). By this time I was equipped with so much knowledge that I have been able to manage my condition without taking medication for many years! To read more about my story check out this Blog post here.
This is when I decided to go to school and turn all my personal experience and knowledge (and boy there is a tonne of it – I have tried pretty much most diets out there!) into a career of helping others. I know I can help you because I have been where you are and can guide you to make the changes you are ready to make so that you can get your life back. I used to be the person who had to be forced to eat vegetables and if I could make the changes you can too! I know that change can be hard but I am here to support and guide you so you can feel your best again. I am equipped with personal experience, tools and knowledge to help create a plan that works for your body! We are all unique and this is why trendy diets don’t work for everyone – I am here to design a plan based on what I know works, but also being mindful of what works for YOUR body and lifestyle. I incorporate elements of diets that have proven to be successful for certain conditions but I always put your symptoms and needs first and tailor my plans to something that works for YOU!
On a personal note, when I am not doing all things nutrition related (which let’s be real isn’t very often…hehe) I love cooking, am a regular yoga-er (ya I realize that probably isn’t a word), love the sun and beach, try to read when I can, make DIY projects with essentials oils, dive into mindset and personal growth books and seminars (I am a bit of a spirit-junkie as some would call it), am an auntie and love spending time with my friends and family!

What is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist?
Registered Holistic Nutritionists (R.H.N.) educate clients regarding the health benefits of natural nutrition. Holistic nutrition is a combination of modern science and time-tested wisdom based on the philosophy that each person has unique nutritional requirements. R.H.N.’s recognize the unique mind-body-spirit factors of each individual and address them for each client.
It is important to look for a designation (such as R.H.N.) when looking for a qualified nutritionist since they are currently not regulated by the government. The R.H.N. designation is exclusive to the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (CSNN) and graduates have completed a comprehensive science based and people-focused program in Natural Nutrition. The Certified Nutritional Practitioners Council of Canada (CNPCC) recognizes the curriculum from CSNN. The other certification to look for is CNP which stands for Certified Nutritional Practitioners (CNPs).
What about Insurance Coverage?
There are an increasing number of insurance companies starting to cover the services of Holistic Nutritionists. If you’d like to find out about your coverage you can e-mail me for a letter to send to your insurance.
Here is what Clients are saying....
As parents of 4 young children we committed to doing this together. Our lives are so busy with working full time and trying to balance healthy eating and time. This meal plan helped us do just that. The recipes were so easy and prep time was very manageable. The grocery list was a bonus! After just a week on this meal plan we felt great and less bloated. This is something we have been wanting to do for awhile. We have now decided to continue with the meal plans.
Thank you for making our lives a little easier and healthier!
Carmela & Pino
I just completed my first meal plan from Ann. I loved how easy the shopping list and prep guide made my week! Adding lemon water in the mornings was a total game changer, I had more energy that lasted throughout the day as opposed to having a coffee. I also loved all of the new meal ideas, they were a hit with my boyfriend as well! We had falling into a routine of eating the same old things and were struggling to plan out our weeks properly. This meal plan made that so easy!
